Leadership
Andrew Shulman
Andrew Shulman is an innovative, results-driven senior executive with over 20 years of experience scaling and growing early-stage companies. A hands-on operator, Andrew is passionate about building high-performing teams, driving revenue growth, streamlining/scaling operations, and delivering strong financial performance. Andrew’s passion for technology influences each aspect of his business development and operational strategies.
Most recently, Andrew served as CEO of Mobile Health for twelve years. Through his leadership, Andrew transformed Mobile Health from a local provider of occupational health services to a national one, with 6,500 partner locations across the country, and the ability to perform services on-site at employers’ locations. Andrew’s vision prompted the creation of Mobile Health’s proprietary technology stack, the Occupational Health Ecosystem, transforming the organization into a modern, tech-enabled health care services provider.
Prior to Mobile Health, Andrew served as Chief Operating Officer of Affiliated Physicians, where he transformed the organization from a single site executive physical exam practice into a national provider of executive wellness, on-site flu shots and biometric screenings, and pandemic flu preparedness programs. During his tenure, Andrew integrated technology solutions into all aspects of the organization, from its operations to its CRM, to achieve seven-fold revenue growth.
Andrew is an open, honest, vulnerable and transparent leader with a high EQ. As such, he can quickly build or transform a company’s culture. He is adept at building teams comprised of individuals who are dedicated to the company’s vision and who support one another through periods of rapid growth and service line expansion.
Andrew holds a Master of Public Health from Columbia University and a BA from Emory University. Andrew lives in New York City with his husband, Jeremy, and daughter, Savannah.
Tracy Cormier
Tracy Cormier is the Chief Operating Officer at ModernMD Urgent Care where she leads initiatives to drive operational excellence, innovation, and sustainable growth. Known for her people-centric, performance-focused leadership, Tracy excels in building scalable systems, streamlining operations, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. She thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments, aligning cross-functional teams around shared goals while maintaining a strong focus on delivering value to employees, patients, and communities alike.
Tracy holds a MBA with a concentration in Human Resource Management, which complements her operational expertise with a deep understanding of talent development and organizational behavior. Her career began in retail and later transitioned to healthcare where she modernized urgent care operation and enhanced patient experiences. Recognized for turning vision into action, Tracy continues to play a pivotal role ModernMD’s evolution, ensuring strategies support long-term growth and exceptional care delivery.
Andrew Liang
Andrew Liang serves as the Medical Director for ModernMD’s Bronx and Queens operations, where he focuses on bridging the gap between the Emergency Room and the doctor’s office. Drawing on his dual background in Emergency and Family Medicine, he works hand-in-hand with his team to ensure they deliver care that is as thorough as it is timely.
His leadership style is hands-on and education-focused. Rather than just managing operations, Andrew Liang acts as a mentor, helping providers navigate clinical protocols and complex decision-making. It’s a skill set he honed as a former Crew Chief for the Park Slope Ambulance Corp: keeping the team calm, coordinated, and effective. He loves working at ModernMD because it allows him to strip away the bureaucracy and focus on what matters: giving patients immediate access to high-quality, compassionate care.
When he isn’t guiding the clinical team, you can find him on the mats practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or hiking in nature. While he insists the grappling is for mental clarity and fitness, his colleagues know the real motivation: he needs to burn enough calories to sustain his aggressive research into the NYC food scene.
Rachel Cohen
As Director, Productivity & Talent, Rachel Cohen leads ModernMD’s human resources, recruiting and internal engagement initiatives, leveraging 10 years of human capital and culture building experience in social impact organizations to grow, empower and support our team.
A native New Yorker with a background in psychology and a passion for public health, Rachel is also a certified Child Life Specialist, donating her time to aiding families in crisis. In her down-time, Rachel enjoys horseback riding, screen printing and baking.
Eliot Podgorsky
As Director, Marketing at ModernMD Urgent Care, Eliot leads the strategy and execution of all marketing initiatives across our urgent care network. With a focus on growth, patient engagement, and community impact, he drives brand awareness and service utilization through data-informed campaigns and grassroots outreach.
Responsible for driving patient growth across urgent care centers in Brooklyn, Queens, and The Bronx, Eliot leads digital marketing, performance analytics, and hyper-local campaigns. By leveraging SEO, paid media, and targeted outreach, he ensures ModernMD remains top-of-mind and easily accessible in every neighborhood we serve.
With a passion for making healthcare more accessible and approachable, Eliot blends strategic insight with a hands-on community-first approach. Outside the office, he’s a die-hard Yankees fan who never misses a game and can talk baseball stats all day. He also loves discovering New York’s vibrant food scene with his wife.
Vincent Vaiana
Vincent Vaiana is the Director of Sales at ModernMD Urgent Care, where he spearheads the growth of both AccessMD and the company’s expanding Occupational Health Services. He brings years of versatile sales experience across multiple industries, consistently driving revenue through a customer-centric and solutions-focused approach. Known for his strategic mindset and commitment to excellence, Vincent plays a key role in shaping ModernMD’s market presence and strengthening partnerships within Brooklyn and Queens.
Originally from Long Island, Vincent has built a reputation for being a natural relationship-builder who thrives on creating meaningful connections with clients, teams, and community partners. His passion for delivering value, combined with his strong communication and leadership skills, empowers him to foster trust and elevate the customer experience. Vincent’s dedication, adaptability, and drive make him an essential contributor to ModernMD’s mission and long-term growth.
Shah Hashmi
Shah Hashmi is a Finance and Accounting professional with 13+ years of experience driving efficiency and clarity in financial operations. His background spans month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, financial reporting, budgeting, and ad-hoc analysis. Over the years, he’s grown through progressively responsible roles across multiple organizations, gaining and honing skills in process improvement, systems implementation, and strategic financial planning.
He has led initiatives that improved product line profitability, optimized inventory reserves through better return management, and streamlined departmental workflows. His hands-on experience includes managing internal and external financials, developing forecasts, and supporting company-wide transitions to new software and financial systems.
Colleagues often describe him as tech-savvy, determined, and solutions-oriented. He thrives in fast-paced environments where he can solve problems, bring structure to complex processes, and add value through continuous improvement.
Shah holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Kean University and an MBA from Rutgers Business School.
